Where has the time gone?!
Every year, the Foundation Department at Tyler hold a Foundation Art Show, where the professors choose work from students to be showcased. My kite from last semester was chosen to be a part of the show this year, and it was awesome!
As part of Temple's Honors Program, we are able to register for classes with Masters, Doctorate, and Athletes. I was able to register for all the classes that I wanted, and i'm really excited for next semester. I will be taking Beginning Ceramics, Jewelry I, and Off-Loom Structure I. For my non-art curriculum, I am taking Mosaics II, which is a literature based class, and Religion in Philadelphia which fulfills my U.S. Society General Education requirement.
Food, Food, Food!
I have started my exploration of food across campus but around the city as well! Missy, Shay, and I went to The Creperie (Temple's world famous food truck) and it was amazing!
I ended up getting a sweet crepe, which was nutella, strawberries, and banana.
It was SOO good.
Then, the weekend after, Jane and I went to the Grilled Cheese Truck, and I had a really good Roasted Pepper, Basil, Mozzarella Cheese Grilled Cheese. It was very tasty and Jane and I enjoyed our first day of "fake college" by the bell tower. We even did a little impromptu Coke photo shoot.
very, very good!
Then I went out to brunch the next day with Nhi, Alex, and Briana, to Green Eggs Cafe. It was really, really good!

The four of us shared these Red Velvet Pancakes. SO GOOD!!
I had a Chicken & Waffles Eggs Benedict. It was really good!
Nhi and I
After brunch, I had to go to the Art Museum for Art History, so met Missy there.
I had RA Orientation last wednesday. I was able to meet my staff for next year,
and get some more details about the position.
I'm really excited for the job next year and it seems like its going to be a lot of fun!
In drawing, we did a two day watercolor figure drawing. I was nervous about starting it, because I typically don't like watercolors, but it turned out really well, and I was very happy with it!

In 3D, everyone in the class made the same wooden chair. The project is to make a chair, and then do something to the chair. I decided on making a reversible fabric cover to the chair. My concept is that someone would buy this chair, and since it's a cheap chair, they place this cover over it to make it look more expensive than it actually is. The reversible aspect allows the chair to fit in multiple settings.
Here is my chair and the fabric i'm going to use.
The TV Show that i'm a part of, One of the Guys, premiered it's third episode the other night. And when we had our viewing party as a cast and crew, we went to my friend Jamie's apartment, and watched it on the roof. It was really cool.
And lastly, I did a good'ol McCartney surprise, and went home this weekend to see Olivia in Aida. It was really nice because I was able to see Maggie and Kloe in the musical as well. They did an amazing job and I was blown away. It was awesome to be able to see Oma and Pop, Aunt Anita and Uncle Ian, Uncle Bobby, Uncle Mark and Maddy, and Uncle Clyde. A good short visit home to see the family!
With only three weeks left (lets not talk about that), I have projects to look forward to! I'm excited for how they'll turn out, and to show you all! Look forward to seeing you all very soon!
love it all!!!!! enjoy this time! love, mom :)
